Durable Power of Attorney

A durable power of attorney allows your agent, who you designate, to make financial decisions on your behalf in the event you are not able to manage your finances yourself. A durable power of attorney can be broad or limited. A power of attorney can be springing or immediately effective. Some individuals prefer power of attorneys to be effective only if deemed incompetent by two licensed medical professionals with knowledge of the principal’s mental capacity and health history.
